This is the privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) that governs how we, The Women Know How (“TheWKH”, “we”, “our” or “us”), use Personal Information (defined below) that we collect, receive and store about individuals in connection with the use of the website www.thewomenknowhow.org, and any other website (social media) that we operate (each, together with its sub-domains, content and services, a “Site”).

The Women Know How cares about your privacy and the privacy of others. Therefore, we have implemented this privacy policy to explain how we collect and use personal information only as needed to deliver our products, services, and to communicate regarding the information you have requested in the form of email communication and/or newsletters. Our Privacy Policy not only explains how and why we use your personal information that we collect, but also how you can access, update or otherwise take control of your personal information. 

We do not currently require you to provide personal Information in order to have access to general information made available to you on this site. But, in order to use certain services that we offer via the site, such as purchasing of merchandise, newsletters, and/or contacting our organization directly, you may be required to create an account (“Account”). If you create an Account you will be required to provide your personal information, such as your first and last name, birthdate and email address as well as the creation of a password that you will use for your Account access (“Account Information”). You may also choose to provide additional Personal Information such as age, gender, and demographic information as part of the Account registration process and in connection with your ongoing use of your Account through the site. We may send you an e-mail to the e-mail address you submit to confirm your registration and/or purchase. If you choose not to create an Account, you may not be able to access or use certain features of the site. If you choose to make a purchase and/or donation, you will be required to provide billing information. If you choose not to disclose billing details, you are unable to make a purchase and/or a donation through the site. 

We do not ourselves host any of the services – all hosting is conducted by third party service provider that we engage with. This means that data you provide through this site that we collect from you (including any Personal Information, as defined above)– as further described in this Privacy Policy – is hosted with this third party service provider on servers that they own or control directly. Please be aware that you are consenting to your data being transferred to various third party service provider around the world and that your personal information or data may become available to the applicable foreign government or its agencies of any of these countries under a lawful order made in the relevant country. To make changes to your account: To easily access, view, update, or delete your personal information, or to update your subscription preferences, please sign into your Account and visit “Account Settings.” 

If you make a request to delete your personal information and that data is necessary for the products or services you have purchased, the request will be honored only to the extent it is no longer necessary for any services purchased or required for our legitimate business purposes or legal or contractual record keeping requirements.
